It was primarily intended as a vacation residence for a family of kite surfers to relax and have a comfortable living. All the rooms are facing the infinite horizon towards the sea. The materials used and its low-rise stature complement well with the neighboring houses, meadows and dunes.

The straw, which is primary material used for the façade, was inspired by the area’s conventional building method. The use of this façade material enables you to build a contextual structure that features a modern character.
A ready-made steel frame, meanwhile, was used to create the angled form of the house. The shape and height of laminated wooden parts were gradually adjusted to fit the steel frame.
The interior accommodated all the basic requirements of a house including the lounge, dining, kitchen and living room in one area. A wonderful experience from social interactions is created on various spaces.
The wooden materials used in the interior provides warmth and cozy feel for a perfect holiday mood.
In 2015, Lithuania’s authorities awarded this masterpiece creative achievements in urban design and architecture.
